About

The Marshumovglass Museum of Art Glass is the history of the dynasty of glass artists, where the author's works of honored artists of the Russian Federation Marshumov are presented.

The collection contains more than 100 works, the exhibits cover the period from 1966 to the present. Museum visitors will get acquainted with the author's compositions, where the depth of the creative idea impresses with the meaning and accuracy of the created image, and the thin glass fills the compositions with lightness and grace.

The collection is based on works created manually in glassblowing technique on a gas burner in the traditions of the Tver school of artistic glassmaking, which originated in the mid—60s of the twentieth century at the Kalininsky Glass Factory. Fine products made by hand on a gas burner delight with their sophistication and complexity of craftsmanship.

The museum is a modern complex where the exhibition space is combined with a glassblowing workshop, and this makes it possible to complement excursions with a demonstration of the equipment itself, and museum guests can witness the birth of a souvenir in the flame of a burner.

The museum hosts programs aimed at different target audiences (children, adults, mixed groups).
